Jennifer Smatt MA, MSc has over twelve years of business and human resources experience, specializing in strategic planning, human resource management and business process redesign in Bermuda and the United States. Jenny is certified as a Process Master and Balanced Scorecard Practitioner.
In her role as Human Resource Specialist at EMC Corporation, Jenny gained valuable experience focusing on Equal Employment Opportunities, Affirmative Action and Diversity programs. Jenny’s human resources experience continued to expand in Bermuda during her tenure at the Bermuda Electric Light Company Ltd. (BELCO), as an Employee Relations Officer, Chief Process Officer and playing a key role in the formation of the shared services subsidiary of Sigma Corporate Services Limited within the Ascendant Group in the role Executive Vice President.
Jenny has held and currently holds several leadership roles within the Community. She is a founding member of the Centre for Leadership, currently serving as Treasurer, Chairperson of the Subcommittee Two of the Women’s Council within the Department of Human Affairs and was nominated as one of 100 outstanding women as part of the Department of Human Affairs 100 Women, 100 Visions Ceremony. She is also a former member of the Warwick Academy Board of Governors and past President of the Bermuda Human Resource Association. Jenny represented Bermuda in the 1992 Olympic Games and has chaired the Bermuda Olympic Association Athlete’s Commission.
